About Me
My name is Heather Everett, and I am here to help you. Change is difficult and often scary, but it only takes one small step to get started on a path that can change your life. I provide a safe environment to start working on difficult issues that have held you back from living life to it’s full potential. I have almost twenty years of experience working with a broad spectrum of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults. Some of the therapy modalities I use include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma Informed Care.
I practice a comprehensive, strength and solutions based approach. My experience includes working with child, adolescent and adult survivors of sexual abuse. I have a strong background working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and am able to tailor specific treatments to offer the most effective solutions possible.
I believe an effective therapeutic relationship is one in which you feel heard, understood, respected, and accepted. My goal is that at the end of every session, you feel empowered and hopeful that you are moving in a new direction to improve your life.
